He'll be back in 4 days.

I'm just a bit done with "trying to be Mods" by telling other people off. It's our job, so don't interfere.
Please watch your language and try to act civil. I went easy on this guy giving him 4 days off, since
he was also a spammer and insulting a Mod. And remember: Mods need to be treated with respect.

Really dissapointed having to ban someone so soon.

He was very rude, I have no objection with the ban. You did the right thing. Don't feel bad about it.

I was expecting this to happen, guys, whatever forum you came from, this is not it, different place, different rules.

Actually, I think what he did was unacceptable on ANY forum.

I've seen other forums, and what he did is a reason for a perma-ban in there :/

Whatever joke that was, the only way to describe its exectuion/general comedic nature is using one word, and that word is the opposite of these two words:

So... The only way to describe his general comedic nature is by saying "Is win"?

Different or same, my actions were perfectly fine.

I was not spamming, and any allegations to the contrary are outright falsehoods. My messages contained content, and they were varied in that content. I did not break a single one of your rules, including the one about being a dick, which honestly should not be a rule as its highly subjective, meaning you can ban anyone you dislike.

Never ban anyone, especially the people you hate.

That's the last thing any mod should be treated with, and I say this from having been a mod/admin/co-creator/sysop to a number of websites, always elected, never from making the site myself, well except once.

On a further note, I'm unbannable, don't try.

It's one of the rules, so please obey it. I'm not threatening anything here, but even if you don't agree with them, the rules should be obeyed. On all sites, the administrators begin as the site creators, and elect moderators worthy of moderating.

All of the current moderators have been made moderators after proving themselves capable outside the forum (since some were needed initially). And more will be decided on capability.

Very very very sad, it's like Fred Flinstone. He's getting locked out every single episode ending, but still appears in the next episode. Even though he's clearly not wanted, he still returns.

And demanding respect is a surefire way of not getting any. You should inspire respect through your actions. And in terms of what actions make a governing body most respectable, "That government is best which governs least"

Adorable comparison. Except unlike Fred, I have a key.

I am not demanding respect, merely asking you to obey the rules.

Also, you aren't entirely unbannable.

Explain exactly how it is a bad rule.

And, no, you aren't. We have ways around your obsessive number of IP's.

Thusfar, I've only had to use one IP address. No IP ban was issued. And no, there is no effective way to ban me short of shutting the site down, effectively banning everyone.

You're demanding respect. Don't govern social dynamics through rules. Those are to be enforced of their own accord by the community. Making them into a hard and fast rule, especially one about respecting people, is akin to thought policing. Completely totalitarian.

To reply to Callum, it's a damned true quote, and anyone denying it has no wish for their own personal freedom or liberty.

I'm going to stop you there, and say there are other ways to stop someone visiting a site than IP bans.

I didn't make the rule. I'm not demanding respect. Callum wrote the rules, Callum is asking you to respect me, which I think is not totalitarian.

What would Hitler POSSIBLY want on a Smash Bros. forum?

None that are effective against me.

You backed him up on his rule, specifically citing it. By enforcing totalitarian rules, you are yourself acting in a totalitarian manner.
